HEISK
The act
Taken from an old Scots word meaning 'excitable' or 'crazy', six piece trad outfit HEISK are a force on stage. Accordion, fiddle, electro harp, kit and keys, big energy and bold riffs, they twist traditional and self penned tunes into something fresh and fierce.
Their party vibe lights up festival crowds with a fearless blend of trad roots, funk grooves and pop hooks: music made to empower and get people moving.
The band sparked into life after a late night session at the Celtic Connections Festival Club, when the founding members set out to celebrate great women musicians, rhythm, energy and empowerment at the core. Their 2024 album Headstrong captures that live fire, bold and unapologetic.
