Twisted Roots by An Dannsa Dub is out now
An Dannsa Dub released their third album, Twisted Roots, on 23 October through La Tempesta Dub.
Tom Spirals and Euan McLaughlin call their music future dub from ancient Scotland, and this record takes that idea furthest: nine tracks pulling Scottish tradition through roots, steppas and dubstep, with guests from Kingston to Appalachia. Italee and MAL open the record on Roots, Kaela Rowan sings the Gaelic song Cò Nì Mire Rium, and the whole thing was mixed by Paolo Baldini DubFiles in Italy. The cover art is by Chloe Keppie.
The band are on the road with it now: twenty UK dates through November, finishing with a full soundsystem night at the Art School in Glasgow on the 28th.
