Two tracks from our roster feature in Loch nam Madadh (Wolf Bay), the new BBC Alba short-form horror series about a ferry journey that goes very badly wrong.
Coisich by Valtos and Nach Buidhe Dhut by Limonead both appear in the first episode and the trailer. It’s a good pairing: a horror series set on a Hebridean crossing, scored with Gaelic music made by people from those crossings.
Placing Scottish and Irish traditional music in film and television is a growing part of what we do. Our catalogue covers everything from archive Gaelic song to music built for dancefloors, and we clear quickly. If you’re looking for music for a production, write to info@thebothysociety.com.
